The Maker's Mark

My maker's mark reflects an owl at rest with eyes closed... guided by intuition, rooted in empowerment, master of the message, and shaped by hard-earned wisdom. The flowing curves and fringe echo my hand-shaped silver design aesthetic, honoring movement, imperfection, and the beauty of form.


It’s a symbol of calm confidence, grounded in knowing oneself, and a spirit that moves to its own rhythm guided by inner clarity even when the path isn’t fully visible.

The Style

Born from the rugged beauty of Colorado, these designs channel the wild soul of the West. Fringe that dances like high desert wind, colors that echo canyon sunsets, a rock-and-roll edge sharpened by time. Vintage influences weave through modern rebellion with Art Deco curves and Art Nouveau whimsy. Some pieces carry the stories of vintage stones, repurposed into something daring and new. Others stand in their own glow, bold enough to make a statement, fierce enough to be unforgettable. The signature? Spectacular collectable stones set in oxidized sterling silver statement designs that refuse to whisper.

The Studio

Rebellenhaus isn’t just a studio, it’s a forge, where metal meets fire in creative rebellion. Tucked away in a backyard studio in Longmont, Colorado, every creation is built by hand. There are no shortcuts here. Every curve, every cut, every setting is the result of sweat and skill. Beads are hand-tied, holes are measured and drilled with care, silver is shaped into designs that defy the ordinary. Hours go into each piece, every one infused with raw energy and a spirit that refuses to be tamed.

The Cause


My rebellion is creative, not political. It’s about building something bold and meaningful, and using it for good. A portion of every sale is donated quarterly to organizations that protect, advocate, educate, and empower marginalized and underserved communities. I share each donation recipient on Instagram: @rebellenhaus when funds are disbursed.

The Artist

I'm Erica Waldthausen, the one-woman-show behind Rebellenhaus. The designer, the gemstone hunter, the maker, the photographer, the shipping department, the marketer, the content creator, and customer service. It really is just me!

I’ve always had a rebellious, independent streak and a lifelong pull toward anything that sparkles. As a child, I collected stones and shiny treasures, drawn to their energy long before I understood their pull.

I’m now a jewelry artist with over 20 years of experience. Originally a self-taught bead worker, and later earning my Graduate Gemologist degree (G.G. from GIA) out of a deep love for stones. I also studied jewelry design fundamentals in New York City in order to bring my visions to life with technical hand renderings. I eventually found my way to the silver-torch and never looked back! 

I don't make jewelry just for the sparkle. I make it because what you wear changes your personal forcefield. Jewelry holds energy from places, people, memories, and moments, and sends it right back out to the world. The right piece can protect you, boost your confidence, or simply feel good on. I make jewelry that you can slip on like armor so that you feel ready for anything.

My main body of work features bold, one-of-a-kind designs built around large, collector-worthy stones and shimmering fringe that moves with the body. I embrace visible tool marks and slight asymmetry as part of the process proving there is a human hand and soul behind each creation.

Every piece is made entirely by me, start to finish. No molds. No repeats. I create jewelry for people who want something personal, powerful, energetic and unapologetically their own.
